The Public TV/FM broadcaster agreed to a collaboration with Conxx and Luzerne County Community College to provide tower space (pictured) for community broadband in exchange for a high capacity internet connection. While its studio had internet service from a traditional commercial carrier the upload speed could not handle the distribution of high-definition video production. The Conxx service created a connection to the PA state KINBER network to facilitate HDTV distribution. As fate would have it during a cascade of technical problems following severe storms the Conxx link served as the primary path for all of the TV programming to reach its transmitter and the viewing public.
